Resurfacing

Love is enigmatic,

Indispensable for the forlorn heart,

Yet so ephemeral in existing.

It's meaning ambiguous,

It's magnitude, profound.

Yet somehow you dive into its enormity

Floating, until you realise you're drowning.

Choking, wrestling, your chest rising and falling, counting your last breaths.

And you survive !

Someone pulls you up, whispering words of affection,

And you lay on the ground trying to unravel the clandestine.

You weren't supposed to live,

Yet here you are , somehow alive!
