Welcome
Bookmarked is the blogging wing of the Unabridged Book Club at Kamala Nehru College. Our mission is to foster a love for reading and provide a platform for literary discussions, creative expression, and intellectual growth. Collaborations with other societies ensure our members always have exciting activities. This blog is our latest initiative, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Meet the storytellers who paint with words, crafting tales that dance on the page.
The Core Team

ANKITA JAIN
President
Ankita is a third year psychology honours student surviving life on caffeine and chaos. Books found her during middle school when she desperately needed a friend; they held her hand then and haven’t let go ever since. Amid the whirlwind of the past three years, Unabridged has remained a constant to her offering comfort, love, and meaningful friendships. She hopes for the readers to find the same warmth and sense of belonging through these as she did.

SONAM GUPTA
Vice President
Sonam is the Vice President of Unabridged (aka THE POWER BACKUP 💪) and a third year psychology student :(- helping keep things organized while slowly learning how leadership actually works. When she’s not working with this incredible team, she’s usually buried in a book, overthinking every minor decision, or saying she’ll read “just one more chapter” and ending up reading five. She loves creativity, good conversations, and making Unabridged fun, welcoming, and a little chaotic in the best way. Unabridged has been with her since day 1 and always will. The place it holds in her heart is simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Love Unabridged :)

NEHA WALIA
Vice President
Neha is a final-year student still figuring life out, guided by a simple funda: SIMO—Satisfaction in Missing Out. She doesn’t follow trends; she creates her own. Unabridged holds a special place in her college life, a space filled with learning, love, and memories she wouldn’t trade for anything. A delusional hopeless romantic at heart, Neha leads with feeling and kindness, always open to conversation. If you love Unabridged, she believes you’re already friends!
ANKITA JAIN
Joint Secretary

Jhanvi is a final year literature student desperately trying to fit into the DU aesthetic everyday while juggling chaos of assignments and metro rush. Amidst the madness, Unabridged’s quirky magnet attracted her like diet coke to a performative teen! Experimental reels, fun scripts, overtime direction, and AWESOME content creators surrounding her helped her become who she is today. “Social anxiety??? Whats that?” —- Is probably the biggest lesson that Unabridged taught her. Jhanvi holds her Delulus close—with a fondness that runs deep.
JHANVI JOLLY
Social Media Head

SAMPURNA CHAKRABORTY
Blog Head
Sampurna is a dreamer and a massive romantic at heart, often finding more magic in the virtual world than the real one. She loves stories that linger, and conversations and moments that feel like warm coffee on a rainy day. If there’s a conversation about FRIENDS, or a good book and a pastry to go with it, she’ll come flying in from wherever she is. A Bollywood girlie at heart, fun-loving and a big yapper — that’s her. She would gladly read and dance her worries away.

SHIVANGI DWIVEDI
Joint Secretary
Shivangi Dwivedi is the Joint Secretary of Unabridged and a 2nd year econ major who joined to spread the blessings of anime and manga 😌. When she’s not on senpai duties, she’s analysing supply curves, fearing dystopian futures, or vibing alone with jagjit singh and arctic monkeys playing in her head. With sarcasm, rants, and a situationship with Murphy’s law, she’s found a family in Unabridged. For her, books eventually become an excuse to hang out, unwind, and build the same safe, chaotic space for others. Love Unabridged and her dear delulus ( ˘ ³˘)♥
ANKITA JAIN
Joint Secretary

Janvi Sharma is a second year psych major who found Unabridged in first year- honestly, the best accident ever. What started as joining a society became a space where she learned, unlearned, and grew. She loves dogs, music, and reading (despite reels testing her attention span), and Unabridged has given her a true sense of community. With kind, slightly unhinged people and endless creativity, being part of this team is what makes Unabridged so special 😋
JANVI SHARMA
Creative Head

AYUSHI RANI
Blog Head
Ayushi is a literature girlie through and through. She loves reading and often goes on impulsive book-shopping sprees. She has a thing for libraries and Architectural Digest. A pop culture nerd and serial binge-watcher, she’s the person you can talk to about anything and everything online. Being a romantic at heart, she has a soft spot for romcoms, and the whimsical, dreamy world of La La Land is her favourite escape.
THE BLOG TEAM
Blog Managers

NANDANA MENON
Nandana has been a bookworm since childhood, often choosing books over homework. She believes reading has the power to transform lives and hopes her work in the book club helps others find impactful reads. Her wish is for everyone to discover a book that feels like home yet challenges and broadens their perspectives in ways they never imagined. Books are her escape, refuge, and guide.

MEHAK KOUNDAL
Being an Editor at Unabridged was never just about the red pen for Mehak. It was about the journey of growth she shared with an incredible team. This experience shaped her voice and her confidence in ways she never imagined. She gained more than just editorial skills- she made lifelong memories with some of the sweetest people she has ever known.

MANNAT
Mannat can come across as shy at first but when you get to know her better she is a curious reader who not just writes but feels the unspoken emotions deep inside people. She cherishes poetry. She is a type of person who can go from utter nonsense talks to deep, philosophical debates. Full of warmth as she is, authenticity matters to her - A LOT! She can make you feel important in an instant. She doesn't follow trends, she creates her own style.

VANSHIKA GUPTA
Vanshika Gupta is a young, budding artist whose world is shaped largely by books and stories. An avid reader, she finds comfort, curiosity, and belonging in literature from across the world, so much so that reading feels less like a hobby and more like home. Alongside her deep love for books, she has over 13 years of training in Kathak, a classical dance form that mirrors her discipline and sensitivity as a reader. Vanshika may not be the loudest voice in the room, but she is always the most attentive, someone who listens, notices, and checks in.

DIKSHA SHARMA
Diksha is an editor for Bookmarked. Though words aren’t her first language of expression, she loves conveying stories and emotions through another medium—art. She creates, and then hopes people will understand what she wants to express simply by looking at her art—or, in this case, covers for the blog posts. Her textbooks and notebooks are filled with doodles; however, her sketchbook remains emptier than she would like. People say she is a procrastinator, but she says, “Art can’t be rushed (especially when I’m busy obsessing over details barely anyone will notice).” Bookmarked is a platform that allows her to do what she loves most—create.
Content Writers

SRIJANI JANA
Srijani is Hermione Granger’s twin in spirit, born with ink-stained fingers and a mind that feels more at home among pages than people. She can finish a 300-page book in a single day, if the story dares to hold her heart. She lives in a private universe of fiction, where imagination breathes freely and standards for a fictional man are high, unapologetic, and refreshingly honest 🤭. Truth matters to her, she speaks it gently, with a kind heart that understands depth over noise. Drawn to shadows and secrets, she loves murder mysteries, where intellect, patience, and justice quietly triumph.

DEVYANI RAWAT
Devyani is a chaotic yet honest and high on caffeine writer. Her writing resembles a mystical daydream; messy but authentic. She reads to escape, but more than that, she reads to understand the world better. Her drafts are the definition of chaos and her notes app is her therapy (don't read them though). She is on a quest to find that one line that feels like hers. Connection and love are her saviours yet they scare her #SelfSabotagingFinalBoss. Listening to songs is her full time job, she feels safer with crafted lyrics than shallow conversations. She believes that you can trust words the most; the words she pens down won't ask you to stay, they will just wait for you.

AYUSHI SHARMA
Ayushi is a lone dreamer, often lost in her own imagination. Literature is her soul, and writing is what gives it form, so she writes to create, to feel, and to exist. She longs to shape more of her soul and merge it with others through words. A devotee of both music and coffee, she believes they set the perfect mood for her thoughts. She often wonders why life doesn’t come with a soundtrack; it would be far more romantic if it did. Until then, her mind plays its own music whenever it wants. Inspired by both her thoughts and melodies, she writes in the hope that her words intrigue those who read them.

KRITI
Kriti often hesitates when she introduces herself, as if a single sentence could never hold her. She thinks of herself as an ocean- restless, reflective, and quietly vast. Her mind wanders like tides, drawn to questions without shores, finding meaning in the smallest waves of existence. As a student of philosophy, she lives in wonder more than in answers. She reads to listen to other minds, and she writes to understand her own.

SHREYA BANERJEE
You ask Shreya to introduce herself and she’ll make it very easy for you..
A blob of nostalgic yearning and the devious temptation to be everything!
Other than the philosophical description, Shreya is your average girl who finds comfort in books, writing, music, and hot beverages. Majoring in English Literature has fueled her ambitions in her pursuit of being a writer and a creative. When not writing, she can be found observing, noticing patterns, and chasing meaning in the mundane.

TANYA CHAUHAN
Tanya is a political nerd, endlessly curious, often wandering between the philosophies of Hobbes and Plato. For her, books are not escapes but mirrors and maps, guiding her through the world beyond their pages. Writing, to her, feels like laying petals on an empty surface, tangled between overthinking and perfectionism. She is deeply drawn to gender and politics. Poetry, for her, untangles what logic cannot. With coffee, books, rainy weather, and songs of broken hearts, she finds her quiet peace.

MISHTHI
Mishthi is a quiet person who has a strong passion for music. She is the type of person who can sense emotions before words can. She lives in music; it's more than just something she listens to. She is also fascinated by psychology, including how people's minds function, how emotions mould them, and how everyone has hidden narratives. She finds solace in being present, knowing others, and listening without passing judgement. She has a soft spot for kittens, books, and ice tea. Without even trying, she transforms into a peaceful, considerate, and subtly compassionate person.

PRISHA NANDA
Prisha has loved books since her mother started reading them to her at six months old, making her a professional at fangirling. She’s an introvert who will talk your ear off once she’s friends with you, and will most likely influence you into consuming her favorite media. She loves listening to music, watching Formula 1, writing, creating, and making playlists like it’s her full-time job. If lost, you’ll probably find her hunting for coffee, clicking photos of anything and everything, or making heart eyes at the animals on campus.

AISHWARYA CHANDRA
Aishwarya is a part-time word wizard, and a full-time chai enthusiast and a self-proclaimed “professional yapper.” She writes as if she’s on a mission to make words flirt with meaning—sometimes they dance, sometimes they trip. Her creative process is an equal mix of overthinking, snack breaks (with a special devotion to green chutney Kurkure), and the firm belief that deadlines are more of a suggestion than a rule. She believes deeply in the power of commas, elaichi chai, and a perfectly timed plot twist at 2 a.m. When she isn’t writing, she’s usually rewriting—or convincing herself that scrolling absolutely counts as “research.” At the end of the day, she turns thoughts into sentences and hopes the find their place on the page.

SNEHA PRASAD
Somewhere between dissecting songs by The Beatles and deciding whether she likes Ringo or Paul more, Sneha found herself in the sepia-toned world of books. Reading came to her in waves—tenderly, and then all at once. When she first read “Daffodils” by William Wordsworth in sixth grade, or found Jo in the pages of Little Women, glowing with an incandescent womanhood, she was entranced by the beauty words could induce. In the misty streets of Shillong, she's been chasing that high ever since. When Sneha is not reading, she's listening to music, playing instruments, or scribbling in her journals to keep her sanity intact. Crazy for rom-coms and a Notting Hill enthusiast, for her, Unabridged has been a journey of reprieve from the chaos of Delhi.
