A calming death

By Karishma Mishra, B.A. Honours Journalism

Design by Nandana

We all talk about love, hope and grief

But why death is a topic buried in deep

We all believe in living our life to the best

But no one focuses on it's ultimate end

Why it's a negative scene to visualise

If we all have to face it sometime in our life

Why we try to run away from the truth

If it's something we can never overlook

We all see our life as a beautiful story

But we hesitate in reading it's ending

We can't hold what we want to forever

That's why we see death as a curse

But why death is always about losing

And not about freedom from suffering

Why we don't cherish it as we do our life's

Even though death is just life's other side

I know you might see me as a mad

Babbling about things she don't understand

But trust me I have seen bodies ,  turning into ashes

My ears have echoed ,  of cries without voices

But it's the loss of my loved ones only

That made me believe in death's reality

It forced me to see beyond the daily talks

To see death as a calming end to our lifelong walks.
