“But you are. You are worth all that trouble. You are worth walking through a fucking fire. Don’t you see that?”

If you are someone who's into casual intimacy and loves to read rom-coms, then this book is the perfect blend of the two! The Spanish Love Deception, authored by Elena Armas, a Spanish writer, is a quintessential example of an enemies to lovers trope. The book features an office-romance, something that the hopeless romantics would definitely love to read.

The Spanish Love Deception revolves around Aaron Blakckford, a beautiful, tall guy with a body that resembles that of a body-builder who refuses to smile, and on the other hand, is Catalina Martin, the girl who carries hope and happiness wherever she goes. Aaron and Catalina fail to start off their relationship

on a good note despite Catalina’s sincere efforts and later, they turn up to Catalina’s sister's wedding as a COUPLE.

Yes, you read that right. The book features everything! From swoon-worthy moments, to moments that could fill the reader with rage. Elena Armas goes on further by beautifully showcasing how traumatic relationships hold the power to leave a huge impact on an individual’s life. The novel moves at a slow

pace in the beginning but soon picks up speed with the “couple’s” entry into the wedlock of Isabel and Gonzalo.

To be precise, The Spanish Love Deception is the ideal book for you if you are enamored with the idea of a male protagonist who puts on a smile on his face only for his girl. Ranging from attending a cozy ball dance together to visiting a wedding together, only to realize that what they feel for each other is love.

This book is a walking green flag, filled with moments that might make your heart skip a beat and forget that you ever existed in the real world, ever!
