Letter to Nana the Cat
by- Anuska
Dear Nana,
Who's a good kitty? That's right, it's you, my little whittle pumpkin. I apologize if my words were a bit much; I'm sure you're not too impressed. I couldn't contain my excitement as a massive cat lover addressing this letter to you. I genuinely hope you're doing well.
I admire the beautiful companionship you share with your human partner, Satoru. The deep understanding between you two is truly heartwarming. While we humans can be moody and overwhelming, cats like you remain true to your spirit, and it's something many of us admire and wish to embody.
Your resilience is evident, and the twist of fate that brought you and Satoru together is truly remarkable. If he hadn't found you that fateful day, circumstances might have been quite different. It's heartening to think that you both saved each other in a big way.
I was thrilled to see you enjoying your road trip with Satoru. While the purpose of the journey may have separated you two for a while, the experiences you gathered and the precious connections you made along the way are truly wonderful.
Being a human, I often find myself wondering what cats truly think. Reading your travelogue felt like getting answers to some of my questions. Thank you for documenting your experiences for people like me.
Unlike humans who often need to prove their worth to exist within societal norms, it's refreshing to see that beings like cats are free from such harsh standards. You inadvertently take pride in your very presence, irrespective of others' opinions. It might be my shameless imposition of personal bias, but I feel there's a tinge of truth to it. I can't help but aspire to embrace the same self-respect.
There's no doubt - humans can learn plenty from cats, and we should never stop learning. Wishing you safe travels, and I genuinely hope Satoru gets to live with you very soon.
Lots of love (and endless pets!).
So wholesome
🤍
