SAMSARA

Samsara is a beautifully written mythological fiction that serves as an amalgamation of spirituality, faith, manipulation, love, betrayal, and a collection of astounding events that bring the life of Aman Chandra — the protagonist — upside down. The ten souls and Aman (plus one) after being kidnapped and brought to Vanyasa —the valley of God— are being trained for a deadly journey to find Madhu —the elixir of life.

The author, Saksham Garg, weaves  an intricate tapestry of words, blending spirituality, philosophy and storytelling in a way that is truly mesmerizing.

The book compels the readers to gape the religious beliefs and motives of mankind from a divergence. It impels us to think how God created nature where all beings were equally entitled to live and continue life on land; however, humans created religion, myths and falsehood, and being the most intelligent living being, they interconnected it with God so that the idea of religion, which is more of a manipulation, now never dies, and hence mankind rules over the nature for its own selfish reasons.

"Mankind is devolving, constantly killing in the name of God."

The book did not present me as an engaging affair initially; however, with a very impressive pace, unfolded the mesmerizing fantasy that kept me engrossed till the very end. It truly managed to attach me with some characters, took me through diverse emotions, and definitely made me shed my share of tears. The ending is as thrilling as the plot twists, fostering me to restlessly wait for the second part of the book. The book cover must not be forgotten to be mentioned, as it has been designed so intelligently that it eventually blends with the story, leaving an impressive mark on readers.
