Letter from Mak to Adena from the book powerful, from the series of powerless
By Joshika Kashyap , BCOM Hons , 1st year

Dear Dena,
I hope writing this letter will calm the havoc
within my soul that has engulfed me ever since
the moment I saw your beautiful soft hands fall
to a silent and your soul leaving me behind,
soaring up, up ,up in the sky where there is
nothing but immense silent and peace.
My sweet Dena there is so much to say. I am no
one without you. I wish you could hear me. I
wish I could tell you how miserable and helpless
I felt when you were dying right infront of me. I
tried Dena. I really tried. I gave everything I had
to bring you back, back to me all safe and sound
in my arms again where time stills for us and I
can once again lose myself in your pretty hazel
eyes.
Oh, Dena! please come back to me. Every fiber
of my being belongs to you..please ... please
.....please...
I wish I could ask God to take me instead of you.
It should never have been you. I was doomed to
a life of sorrow, not you, my sweet Dena. You
gave me a reason to live. For the first time in my
life, I was truly able to live, all because of you.
Now, I am a ghost in my own body.
I wish I could tell you how much I love you, I
cherish every little time we shared. But life has
always been unfair to me. I wish I could hug you
again. I wish I could admire the way you make
every room light up just by your sweet smile. I
wish I could tell you how much you meant to me,
I wish I could tell you that I never want to lose
you. I wish I was dead instead of you, I wish... I
wish...
Dena wherever you are I will find you, I will meet
you again one day, I will hold you again. I will
kiss your beautiful soft hands again. We will
meet again , maybe our story was not meant to
be written and lived now but one day we shall
meet and I am gonna love you with all that I am.
Just keep looking down at me from up and keep
shining like a star and if I am lucky enough, one
day, maybe I will end up next to you shining.
Love you,
Adena
