Letter to Kafka Tamura

Dear Kafka Tamura,

I'm curious—was the prophecy made by your father something that came to pass by fate, or did your curiosity drive you to fulfill it? I suppose I'll never truly know. While your journey in search of yourself is deeply enigmatic, I find myself haunted by the circumstances that unfolded as you sought the truth.

It saddens me that you and Nakata never met. Perhaps if you had crossed paths, your journey might have taken a different direction, altering the course of everything that followed. Every time I faced a dilemma, the presence of the crow resonated deeply with me. It felt as though the crow symbolized the internal voice guiding us through our darkest moments, urging us to move forward even when we are afraid. This connection between your experiences and the crow reminded me of how often we find ourselves at a crossroads, seeking clarity amid uncertainty.

Your story shows that discovering identity and truth is challenging but worth pursuing. In times of doubt, may your resilient spirit and the memories of those who stood by you light your way.

Yours sincerely,
Someone bewildered by your journey.

I loved the way Kafka now feels like a character that I can resonate with rather than someone I resented initially , wonderfully written 🫶
