A Letter to Haruo
by- Anuska
Dear Haruo,
I think you're a person of many talents but a possessor of dark desires. You're just an adolescent boy having struggles like any other peer of your age but lacking a platform to constructively channel your frustration with the world around you. While my attempts to humanize you might not amount to much in your watchful eyes, it is the least bit of empathy I could show towards your actions. Do not be surprised, you deserve every bit of punishment that is to be accorded to you.
Considering the effort, you put into study the crested Ibises, you seem quite conscientious and efficient to me. You spent hours formulating plans to fulfill your allegedly godsend mission and even worked out and got a driver's license for the same - you can really achieve things if you truly wish for them.
You even showed a side of yourself that I absolutely did not expect from someone like yourself- kindness. I never thought you would take your temporary female companion exactly to the places she wanted to visit (given that your thoughts regarding her were not the healthiest). Maybe the reason for helping her was nothing but a warped sense of pity that you treated yourself with, nevertheless that was a depiction of the empathy that you have as a human being.
I guess my purpose for writing all of this really is quite simple - you have the potential to become a better human. You were simply misguided by your family and were made to believe that you are exceptional and free from mistakes. Accountability thus made you lash out at everyone, making you believe that your actions were justified - and stalking never is. Maybe you were right about your crush, but it was not your responsibility to watch over her and get yourself involved in her life. No one gave you the right to do so.
The internet is an amazing place to get immersed and lost into, but everything on this planet can turn into a double-edged sword if wrongly dealt with. Use it for something constructive. The path that you were on was hellbent on damaging your heart, but I hope that you could still salvage whatever was left of it in reformatory.
My words might sound like pointless motivational jargon coming from a pretender of the pious, but sometimes jargon really helps. Do consider pondering over what I said. I wish you good luck for the rest, may you get the answers that you seek.
Sincerely,
Anuska
