Ghar 🏠

By:Pragya Pandey

What has this rain bestowed upon me?

Has it adorned the Garden of Memories' garland?

Or has it forced the weak windows to let it into the abandoned home?

What do these cracked walls recite?

Are they proud of the unseen scars?

Or are they wailing for not being strong?

What does the fading paint excite me about?

Does it jolly around to safeguard the roots?

Or is it jittery about not being vibrant anymore?

What does the silent aangan look for?

Is it dignified to give shelter to bewildered beings?

Or is it missing the noise of happiness?

Oh this screams nostalgia and at the same time makes you question the reality of today. Love the way you've penned down your thoughts Pragya 🫶
